Liverpool are set to be one of the biggest players in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Reds have been sensational under Arne Slot, with the Dutch coach set to lead Liverpool to only their second Premier League title with the Anfield side currently 13 points ahead of second-place Arsenal with ten games left to go.
Despite the Merseyside giant’s domination in the league this season, it’s clear that recruits are needed this summer, with Liverpool interested in making as many as five signings as the defence and midfield look set for major overhauls.
As well as more quality depth across the squad, a new attacker could be on the agenda with Luis Diaz linked with a move to FC Barcelona and Darwin Nunez likely to be sold by Liverpool, and one rumoured Anfield target could be sold for cheaper than expected if Bayern Munich are to be believed.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern are confident that Borussia Dortmund will lower their asking price for Jamie Gittens if the Bundesliga side fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League next season.
Gittens is wanted by Liverpool with the former Manchester City academy superstar enjoying a breakout star with Dortmund this campaign, even with the German giants enduring one of their worst seasons in recent memory.

Niko Kovac’s side find themselves 10th in the Bundesliga standings yet just six points off the top-four, raising hopes that a Champions League finish could be on the cards for Dortmund, especially if Gittens can maintain his impressive form.
Yet for Liverpool, the Anfield side will be hopeful that Dortmund fail to make Europe’s premier club competition as well as the Europa League, with Gittens a player who could be exceptional for the Reds under Slot.

With Pascal Gross lauding Gittens as an ‘unbelievable’ attacker as per the Bundesliga’s official website, there’s a reason why the likes of Liverpool are interested in spending big money this summer on trying to sign the 20-year-old attacker.
Yet whilst Liverpool have a strong case in the race to land Gittens, the Premier League leaders might not be the favourites for the Reading-born talent, with Dietmar Hamann suggesting the youngster should join Bayern at the end of this season.
Indeed, it’s been a while since Bayern flexed their financial muscle to land one of the best talents in the Bundesliga, yet with Gittens looking like an incredible prospect, there’s a real chance that the Munich-based giants could beat Liverpool to the Dortmund wonderkid.
