Liverpool are one of the most recognisable sports teams on the planet, and next season the Reds will be supplied by a new kit manufacturer.
The Anfield side announced today that a multi-year partnership has been agreed with Adidas, which will see Liverpool wear the iconic three stripes of the sportswear giants from next season onward, having been supplied by Nike since 2020.
Liverpool were previously with Adidas from 1985 to 1996 and from 2006 to 2012 with the German company producing some of the most iconic kits for the Reds in the last 40 years, a factor that will make supporters excited by this new partnership.
And Liverpool insiders seem to be excited by the long-term Adidas deal for what it means to the club on a financial level.

According to the Athletic, Liverpool sources believe the new deal with Adidas ‘represents a significant increase’ for the Reds financially, though the agreement with the German company is more incentivised than what was in place with Nike.
As per the report, Liverpool received a flat rate of £30m a season from Nike with the Merseyside giants also netting 20% on all net sales of club merchandise, an agreement that helped the Reds earn over £60m a year through the American sportswear behemoth.

Whilst details are sparse on the agreement with Adidas, it appears that Liverpool could end up recouping more in the long-term, with Arne Slot’s early success as manager of the Anfield side likely to play a role in a boost in merchandise sales.
Indeed, winning the Premier League and potentially the UEFA Champions League will play greatly in Liverpool and Adidas’s hands heading into next season, and the agreement has come at a good time for both parties given the immense success the Reds could be about to enjoy under Slot.
