Liverpool must shake off the disappointment of their midweek Champions League exit and focus firmly on the Carabao Cup final this Sunday.
The Reds will be hurting after being knocked out of Europe in the last-16 by PSG.
Liverpool pushed the much fancied Parisians all the way, but ultimately came up short, with penalties being the only way to separate the two teams.
After his heroics out in Paris, fans may have fancied Alisson Becker to stand up big for them once again in the shootout.
But although he almost kept out Vitinha’s tame effort, Alisson ultimately had to cede to opposite number Gianluigi Donnarumma who was the man of the hour for PSG.
And as the Carabao Cup final approaches, it has been revealed whether Alisson is likely to be given the chance to shake the shootout from his system with a start at Wembley.

This Liverpool squad are no strangers to the delights of the Carabao Cup final.
Sunday’s showpiece will be the third time in four seasons that the Reds have been involved.
On each of those previous two occasions, Caoimhin Kelleher has been selected to start between the sticks.

Kelleher was the hero in 2022, making a string of brilliant saves before scoring what finally became the winning penalty for Liverpool.
In 2024, Kelleher was brilliant again, keeping Chelsea at bay and lifting the trophy for a second time.
And according to The Daily Mail, the Irishman is ‘more likely than not’ to be the goalkeeper chosen by Arne Slot to face Newcastle.

Alisson started the first-leg of the semi-final against Tottenham, leading to some doubt over Slot’s preference in the competition.
But it’s claimed that the Liverpool head coach generally prefers to have his number two in goal for domestic cup competition.
A final decision is reportedly yet to be made, but it’s looking likely to be Kelleher.
After some question marks over his form earlier in the season, Alisson has returned to his best in recent weeks, showing that the incoming Giorgi Mamardashvili has a huge fight on his hands for the shirt next season.
Kelleher is expected to leave this summer, of course, with the 26-year-old having eyes on finally landing himself a starting slot somewhere.
In the meantime, his patience at Liverpool deserves to be rewarded with occasions like these.
Kelleher was fantastic while Alisson was injured earlier in the season and with only nine Premier League games left to play, it is a strong possibility that Sunday’s game will be his last appearance in a Liverpool shirt.
After many his best moments at the club have come in this very competition, what better way for Kelleher to go out than lofting a third Carabao Cup into the Wembley sky.
