Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen is rumoured to be on Liverpool's and others' radar ahead of a summer transfer(Image: Catherine Ivill - AMA/Getty Images)
Liverpool are 'particularly well' aware of Dean Huijsen's qualities with the central defender's £50m Bournemouth release clause 'expected' to be activated this summer, according to the latest update.
However, it also sets two conditions that would ensure his destination is Anfield over any other rivals.
Amongst the standout players in the Premier League is Huijsen.
When moving to the Cherries for £12.7m from Juventus last summer the 19-year-old may not have expected to take up such an integral role, though other injuries fast-tracked his route into Andoni Iraola's team and he has impressed with the side still in with a claim of European qualification for next season.

As such, the Spaniard's stock has risen as he has become increasingly linked with Europe's elite clubs.
One of those is now Liverpool, with The Athletic's David Ornstein providing his verdict on the potential move.

Firstly, the reporter makes clear that Huijsen will be on the radar of 'any top teams' searching for a new central defender.
The 45-year-old joined from Bournemouth last summer so through their links 'will know Huijsen particularly well'.
Whilst this may seem a good basis for a summer deal, Ornstein goes on to explain the two snags behind the Reds completing a swift move for the central defender.
One, he says, is that it would require 'outward movement' in this department.
He also has Ibrahima Konate, whose own contract expires in 2026, Joe Gomez and 22-year-old Jarell Quansah.
The other factor that would come into play before Huijsen could sign for Liverpool would be his place on the club's list of priorities.
Spending only £12.5m last summer on Federico Chiesa whilst still in their bedding-in period, new head coach Slot and sporting director Hughes have now had the time to assess the squad they inherited from the previous Anfield regime.
They and those responsible for taking Liverpool forward will now have the power and knowledge they felt required to mould the squad as they choose.

Where a central defender, such as Huijsen, falls on the list could thus be impacted by multiple factors like the future of Van Dijk or Konate, or maybe even if the hierarchy feel targeting a striker, as an example, is most-needed to maintain the club's place at the top of the Premier League.
Therefore leaving an open-ended impression, Ornstein has promised to check whether the club do indeed hold genuine interest in this specific player and feels certain that more updates are to follow 'in the weeks ahead'.
