Liverpool U18s progressed past Chelsea U18s in the knockout phase of the Premier League Cup today with a dramatic comeback to win the game by three goals to two.
Rio Ngumoha came back to haunt his old side in the process.
The young Reds were 2-0 down with goals from Ryan Kavuma-McQueen and Genesis Antwi before Trey Nyoni pulled one back with only five minutes or so left to play.
Nhumoha then found the back of the net to square things up with a brilliant dribble and finish before fellow summer signing Alvin Ayman then notched the winner to complete the comeback.
Ngumoha was involved in the winning goal too, playing in Joshua Sonnie-Lambie.
Liverpool got three goals in eight minutes to seal its place in the next round.
