Liverpool have little over three months to renew Mohamed Salah's contract, as clubs in Saudi Arabia watch on.

Mohamed Salah is not currently in negotiations with Saudi Pro League clubs over a free transfer, the division's general manager of marketing communications, Mohammed Basrawi, says.

However, he also admits "doors have been opened" and names it as his desire to see the Liverpool talisman move to the Gulf state when the clock ticks down on the opportunity of a contract renewal on Merseyside.

With 54 goals and assists combined in 43 appearances this season, Salah continues to be Liverpool's most prolific man in front of goal.

Regarding that status, since January the 32-year-old has been eligible to negotiate with overseas clubs, but - based on his own statements and determination to prove himself the best at his job in the Premier League - he's not interested in projects elsewhere just yet.

The Saudi Pro League would be able to entice the player with the most lucrative contract offer available on the market.

In an honest response, he added: "He's one of the best in the world.

Don't get hung up on just the big names, our job is more to raise the bar for everyone else."

The last words Salah delivered himself on his contract saga were that of disappointment - disappointment that no breakthrough had been made as of late-February that would lead to him entering direct talks with club chiefs, rather than his representatives taking part in talks behind closed doors on his behalf.
