Sky Sports have provided their latest on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Real Madrid.

The Liverpool star appears on the verge of confirming a move to Real Madrid, with multiple reports claiming that the England international has agreed to personal terms with the Spanish giants.

Now Sky Sports have provided their slant on the matter.

The England international, who has played over 300 games for Liverpool and is set to make his 350th appearance against Everton on April 2, has turned down an improved contract offer from Liverpool, expressing his desire to leave.

They add:

“With his current deal at Anfield due to expire this summer, the defender has turned down the opportunity of a lengthy and improved contract to stay in the North West and has made it clear he wants to leave.”
