Sky Sports were forced to apologise minutes before the kick-off in the Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Newcastle United.
The broadcaster had the rights to the Wembley Stadium showpiece which was also being televised for free on ITV.
Liverpool had booked their place in the final after claiming a 4-1 aggregate win over Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-final.
Newcastle, meanwhile, had beaten Arsenal 4-0 on aggregate in their semi-final to set up the clash against Arne Slot's team.
Virgil van Dijk was wearing the captain's armband for Liverpool in the clash at Wembley, just as he did in last year's final win over Chelsea more than 12 months ago.
Minutes before kick-off, the Reds captain was giving a brief team talk in a huddle with his teammates.

The Sky cameras got close to the Liverpool huddle, which picked up a segment of Van Dijk's message to the Reds players.
This message would go on to lead to Sky issuing an apology for expletive language, which was picked up on the broadcast audio.
"We worked so hard to be here," Van Dijk could be heard saying to the Liverpool team.
Let's f****** do it together!"

Peter Drury was on commentary duty for Sky Sports and ITV, and went on to apologise to the cup final viewers for the language that was picked up during the broadcast.
“Apologies if you picked up any bad language during the pent-up moment ahead of kick-off," said Drury in the early minutes of the clash at Wembley Stadium.
