“When people talk about consistency, I have seen players be overrated after their first season saying they are a top player, they deserve that etc.
But this guy for so many years has been so consistent for Liverpool and still people find a way to talk about him differently.
“Sometimes I am amazed by those people who talk about football, I don’t understand honestly.
If you ask the pure football people, I describe myself as a football person, I know what this guy is doing for the game.
He deserves the respect.”
Toure waxed lyrical about the Liverpool man’s consistency and the stats more than back up the Ivorian’s claims – with Salah having managed at least 35 goal contributions in each of the last five seasons.

Despite Salah’s contract situation still being unresolved, the Reds forward hasn’t let that affect his performances this campaign.
The 32-year-old has not only continued his impressive form from recent seasons, he has got even better already surpassing his goal and assist tally from last campaign.
With still eleven league games to be played, Salah could break the Premier League assist record come May – and you wouldn’t bet against him doing so.
