Liverpool are perhaps once again likely to be among the less busy clubs in the January transfer window, having not made many moves in the summer.
And in the few dealings that took place at Liverpool, Arne Slot focused more on outgoings than incomings.
That involved many young players leaving Anfield, a handful of which were only sent out on loan in a bid to further their experience.
And it has certainly worked well in the case of Ben Doak, who has been flying high in the Championship with Middlesbrough.
Calvin Ramsay and Stefan Bajcetic are perhaps the other loanees that Liverpool have the most hope for going forward, having joined Wigan Athletic and Red Bull Salzburg respectively.

The latter’s switch to Austria has, however, hit somewhat of a barrier after RB Salzburg manager Pep Lijnders, a former Liverpool assistant, was relieved of his duties.
A few more Liverpool loans can be expected in January, with three players particularly in need of a temporary move at this stage of their careers.
Youngsters are almost always the first players loaned out, more often than not to give them regular minutes elsewhere, with Trey Nyoni perhaps the leader to fall into that category in January.

Nyoni signed his first professional Liverpool contract in October, but has largely been left to develop in the club’s youth setup as opposed to being given minutes in the senior side.
The versatile 17-year-old has been catching the eye on Merseyside, with Liverpool fans labelling Nyoni ‘special’ in pre-season, but in order to properly progress and fully make his way into Slot’s thoughts a January loan move is the right option.

Midfield man Tyler Morton is another to have been plying his trade away from the Liverpool first team more often than not, despite threatening to play a more senior role time and time again.
Now 22, it is perhaps a make-or-break moment for the midfielder, who has impressed on previous loans with Blackburn Rovers and Hull City.

Morton will undoubtedly be eager to impress Slot, but unfortunately he finds himself down the pecking order behind a long list of talented midfielders.

Another Liverpool player who can count himself unlucky is Vitezslav Jaros, who again has talent in abundance but again has no real chance of breaking into the first team at this moment in time.
Like Morton, the goalkeeper has been sent out on a handful of loans already, but another one in 2025 could really benefit the 23-year-old.

Jaros impressed on his full Liverpool debut against Brighton in October, but he really only stands a chance of more senior action next season given the intriguing goalkeeping situation at play, and even then it could be a long shot.
