It is well documented that Steven Gerrard never added a Premier League medal during his illustrious Liverpool career.
Gerrard’s best chance to lift the Premier League came during the 2013/14 campaign and after missing out on the title to Man City, the former Reds captain made a statement that never came true.

Speaking to Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports after the match with Newcastle, Gerrard expressed his sadness, however, the midfielder also made a statement that never came true as the Liverpool captain expected that team to grow and improve.
Having lost Luis Suarez to Barcelona during the summer of 2014, Liverpool struggled massively without the Uruguayan striker and finished the Premier League campaign in sixth in Gerrard’s last season at the club.
Liverpool regressed massively after getting close to winning the Premier League the year before and the Reds would not win the English top flight before 2020.
Gerrard’s prediction never came true as Liverpool did not use their success from the 2013/14 campaign in the right way.
That 2014/15 campaign also robbed Liverpool fans of another year of Gerrard as the midfielder decided to leave as a result, meaning a partnership with Jurgen Klopp was very close to happening.
