Steven Gerrard will rejoin Liverpool Legends for their clash with Chelsea.
The former midfielder is set to feature in the LFC Foundation’s latest charity match against their Premier League counterparts for a third year running.
Gerrard becomes the latest name to join the Reds’ squad, whose backroom team will be headed up by Sir Kenny Dalglish alongside several club greats.
Ian Rush, John Barnes and John Aldridge will assist the Scot in the dugout while several of Gerrard’s former teammates are already confirmed additions.
Sami Hyypia, Martin Skrtel, Peter Crouch and Dirk Kuyt are among the ex-players set to dust off their boots for a worthy cause on Saturday, March 22.
Chelsea’s legends team is set to be managed by Roberto Di Matteo and will call on the likes of Gary Cahill, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Frank Sinclair.
Funds raised from the game will support the LFC Foundation’s health programmes, which help tackle health inequalities across the Liverpool City Region.
Tickets for this year’s Legends match are priced at £29 for adults, £19 for concessions and £9 for juniors.
