Steven Gerrard has sent a heartfelt message to his eldest daughter.

Lilly Gerrard celebrated her 21st birthday yesterday and the Liverpool legend shared a photo of the two together to his Instagram page.

Steven and Alex Gerrard are proud parents of four children, Lily 21, Lexie 18, Lourdes 13 and Lio 7.



The former Liverpool captain uploaded two images, one of Lilly in his arms during his football career and a recent snap of the two enjoying a holiday together.

He captioned the post: "Happy 21st birthday Lilly I hope you have a special day we are so proud of you." Lilly replied: "Love you dad" alongside three heart emojis.

Sharing a photo of a stunning bouquet of flowers and a cake with "Happy 21st birthday Lilly" written on, she said "Gorgeous birthday weekend with the girls."

The daughter of Steven and Alex Gerrard grew up on Merseyside but has spent a lot of time away from the UK due to Gerrard's management commitments with Al-Ettifaq FC, a team he recently departed.

Lilly announced the news last month when she shared pictures on the baby scan on her Instagram page, adding: "Our little secret.

Lexie replied: "Can't wait to be a auntie" and Lourdes added "SO EXITEDDDD".

Earlier this month, Lilly revealed that Lee had gone all out for Valentine’s Day.
