There looks set to be some major changes at Liverpool this summer with plenty of movement expected in the transfer window.
The Reds have had an excellent season up to this point and are seemingly destined to become Premier League champions.
Nevertheless, there are clearly members of the Liverpool squad who Arne Slot simply does not fancy.
As Slot looks to kick on from a supreme debut season at Anfield, he will be aiming to build the team in his own image.
That could be bad news for a number of Liverpool players, with some in serious danger of being shipped out over the next six months.
One who has been on the receiving end of a great deal of speculation has been Darwin Nunez.
And as the summer window speeds into view, journalist Fabrizio Romano has set an expectation for Nunez’s future.

Nunez has been in the spotlight pretty much throughout his three seasons with Liverpool.
For much of the time, it has been for the wrong reasons.
Slot has criticised Nunez recently for a perceived lack of workrate during matches against Wolves and Aston Villa.

And after Romano’s Friday morning update on X, it is starting to feel like the writing is on the wall for the Uruguayan at Liverpool.
“Darwin Nunez’s full focus until July remains on Liverpool after Al Nassr deal collapsed in January,” begins the transfer expert.

“But then he has strong chances to leave the club.
“Nunez’s exit in the summer is a concrete possibility, already discussed in the recent months.”
While it is a shame that things have not worked out as hoped for Nunez at Liverpool, few will protest much if he does leave this summer.
Liverpool have been linked with Alexander Isak as a replacement for the No.9 and if the Reds can bring in a player of the Newcastle man’s quality, they will have made an improvement.
In our opinion, Liverpool should be wary of Isak’s injury record, but there are certainly exciting options out there who can give them more than Nunez has.
Obviously, the 25-year-old being sold will depend on a suitable offer being tabled with Liverpool.
But at this point, it seems as though a failure to agree a deal will be the only reason for Nunez staying.
In terms of his quality and attitude, Nunez appears to have burnt his bridges at Anfield under Slot.
Unless something unexpected happens, there is surely no way back for Darwin.
