Arne Slot will serve a two-game touchline ban for his Merseyside derby red card
The Liverpool head coach was dismissed by referee Michael Oliver after the final whistle of his side’s 2-2 draw with Everton alongside assistant Sipke Hulshoff.
First-team coach John Heitinga will take charge of the Reds from the dugout in the pair’s absence, which leaves them free to return to duty for the Carabao Cup final.
Slot was also handed a £70,000 fine by the Football Association after accepting a charge of improper conduct while Hulshoff received a £7,000 penalty for the same offence.
Separately, Liverpool have seen a £50,000 fine imposed for failing to control their players during fiery scenes at the end of the final derby played at Goodison Park.
Curtis Jones was also sent off during the skirmishes and has since served a one-game ban, making his return to action in the midweek stalemate with Aston Villa.
