Liverpool played EFL Cup games under both Klopp and Slot over 2024 in their 2023/24 and 2024/25 campaigns respectively.

Slot will oversee his first FA Cup fixture when Liverpool host Accrington Stanley at Anfield on January 11, 2025 in a 12:15 kick-off in the third round.

It is a much kinder game on paper for the Dutchman than Klopp had for what proved to be his final run in the competition in 2024.
