Liverpool suffered their first Premier League loss of the year after being beaten convincingly by Fulham.

The Cottagers put on a show in west London as Liverpool were outplayed by Marco Silva’s side, with Fulham securing their first win at home against the Reds since 2011 thanks to goals from Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz.

With Andy Robertson criticised for his performance for Liverpool, it was a game to forget for the Reds, though the Anfield side still sit 11 points clear of Arsenal in the Premier League standings with seven games to go.

Great strike, and gives the goalkeeper no chance.”

It’s been seven months since Liverpool last tasted defeat in the Premier League after the Reds were surprisingly beaten by Nottingham Forest at Anfield, who have since gone on to become the surprise package in the Premier League.

Yet although another loss was due for Slot’s side, few Liverpool fans would have predicted today’s result at Fulham to be as bad as it was, with the Merseyside giants making history for all the wrong reasons in the opening half

Indeed, Liverpool are still on course to comfortably win the Premier League title with seven games to go, yet today’s result will have to serve as a wake-up call for the Anfield side, who will want to wrap up the championship as quickly as possible.
