After Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday, they will now face a second Premier League away trip in the space of four days.
The Reds travel to the GTECH Community Stadium on Saturday for a 3pm kick-off against Thomas Frank’s Brentford, hoping to get back on track after consecutive league draws have allowed Arsenal to narrow the gap at the top to just four points.
As for their opponents, Brentford head into this fixture with the best home record in the division with seven wins from twelve
11th in the Premier League and fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to Manchester City, last time out.
Here, we will be selecting our top five overall victories over Brentford with Liverpool only travelling away to the GTECH on three occasions since the Bees’ promotion in 2022, winning just one.

During the turbulent season of 2022-23, Liverpool managed to grind out a 1-0 home victory against Brentford, courtesy of Mohamed Salah.
Salah played a pass to Fabinho on the edge of the box and the latter picked out Virgil van Dijk at the back post with a floating delivery.
Van Dijk assisted the Egyptian for his 100th Anfield goal, scraping the ball over the goal-line.
Bryan Mbeumo then had a first-half strike ruled out by VAR for a marginal offside, as he just crept ahead of Van Dijk on his way to firing the ball in at the Kop end.
Chances then fell to Darwin Nunez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cody Gakpo but they were unable to find the back of the net and Liverpool managed to hold on for a narrow victory.

In the reverse fixture this season, Liverpool swept Brentford aside winning by two goals to nil, in Arne Slot’s first Premier League home match in charge.
A clinical counter-attack lead by Diogo Jota from a Brentford corner was neatly finished off by Luis Diaz, as he hammered the ball beyond Mark Flekken for a thirteenth minute lead.
Andy Robertson was then denied a second goal after an audacious bicycle attempt from Jota, fell into the Scotsman’s path and Flekken reacted well to the close-range header.
Trent Alexander-Arnold struck the Brentford post directly from a corner and an Ibrahima Konate header was saved as Liverpool pushed for a second goal.
Mohamed Salah made sure of the points in the seventieth minute, poking the ball over the goalkeeper when one-on-one.
Arne Slot had made the perfect start to his Premier League career with back-to-back 2-0 victories over the Bees and Ipswich Town.

Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Takumi Minamino were all on the scoresheet for Liverpool in a comfortable 3-0 win, back in 2022.
The Reds’ first goal came from a corner on the stroke of half time, and Fabinho was able to head into an empty net at the back post.
Liverpool then scored a quickfire double in the second half for goals two and three.
Firstly, Oxlade-Chamberlain headed home in the sixty-ninth minute from an inch-perfect Andy Robertson cross, then Roberto Firmino pressured the Brentford defence into a mistake and set up Minamino to score.
Youngster Kaide Gordon was denied of a first Premier League goal late in the game, seeing his shot saved.
The victory for Liverpool powered the Reds back into second place, and that would be where they’d finish come the end of the season, just missing out on Premier League glory by a single point.

BRENTFORD 1-4 LIVERPOOL – 17TH FEBRUARY 2024 – [2023/24]
Liverpool’s first and only win away at Brentford arrived in emphatic style last season.

Mohamed Salah fizzed the ball into Mac Allister’s path and took one touch to set himself and squeezed the ball under the goalkeeper.
Salah then went from assister to goalscorer.
Caoimhin Kelleher‘s goal-kick was flicked onto in a space for Salah to chase, and the Egyptian got the better of defender Nathan Collins, to give Liverpool a three-goal lead.
The forward came back from the Africa Cup of Nations with a bang.
Brentford did manage to grab a goal back with fifteen minutes remaining.
Kelleher’s strong hand to keep out Yoane Wissa’s attempt could only fall to Ivan Toney and the ball was powered into the net.
Cody Gakpo made it game, set and match for Liverpool when he struck a fourth goal after a catalogue of errors in the Bees’ defence.
Liverpool will know the task at hand when they travel to Brentford on Saturday and a return to winning ways will be crucial after experiencing what they’ll hope to be a minor blip
The Reds will have the chance to go seven points clear of Arsenal, before they kick-off against Aston Villa at 5:30pm GMT.
