Former Sky Sports and current beIN SPORTS presenter Richard Keys(Image: beIN SPORTS)
Disgraced former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has dismissed Liverpool as an "average" team and believes they are on track to win the worst Premier League in history.
The Reds stand 12 points clear of second-placed Arsenal with nine games remaining as they close in on a record-equalling 20th championship.
However, their hopes of claiming multiple silverware in Arne Slot's first season in charge have been dashed in the last week by a dramatic Champions League exit to Paris Saint-Germain being followed by a dreadful League Cup final loss to Newcastle United.
Keys, who now works for beIN SPORTS in Qatar after leaving Sky 14 years ago, has been a regular critic of Liverpool and stated earlier in the season Slot would prove a "mini-me" version of fellow Dutchman Erik ten Hag, who was sacked by Manchester United in the autumn.

And he said after Liverpool's defeat to Newcastle: "I’ve had no idea all season how good this Liverpool team were.
Slot has discovered English football isn’t so easy after all."
PSG head coach Luis Enrique and Brentford boss Thomas Frank are among many opposing managers to regard Liverpool as the best team in Europe this season before their recent disappointing run of results.
And writing in his blog, Keys said: "There’s something very odd about the Premier League this season - the worst I can remember since the league was formed back in 1992.
"There hasn’t been a genuine challenger to Arne Slot’s team all season.
There hasn’t been a test."
