Eddie Howe has ruled out the sale of Martin Dubravka in the January transfer window.
Dubravka is currently starting in goal for Newcastle due to an injury to Nick Pope, but has an offer from Al-Shabab.
"Certainly, we wouldn't want to lose the goalkeeper that's playing for us currently, that wouldn't make sense," Howe said when asked whether Newcastle would let the 35-year-old go.
"So, no, that isn't a deal we would want to sanction currently."
11:36KEY EVENTLiverpool and Man City discover Zubimendi stance
Martin Zubimendi will not be leaving Real Sociedad in the January transfer window, according to the club's sporting director Roberto Olabe.
Zubimendi pulled out of a move to Liverpool in the summer and has been strongly linked with Man City since the serious injury sustained by his international team-mate Rodri.
But Real Sociedad will stand firm in January, with Olabe telling Estadio Deportivo: “There’s little peace of mind about the clauses, but throughout this time Martin himself has shown us that above the clauses are the will.

10:20Felix Keith'Arsenal need Isak to win Premier League'
Dwight Yorke says Arsenal should splash out £100million to sign Newcastle star Alexander Isak.
"If Arsenal want to win the Premier League title, they should go to Newcastle and bang £100m on the table for Isak as soon as the January transfer window opens," Yorke told sportslens.com.
If they manage that then Osimhen could become his replacement.
The Nigeria international is on loan from Napoli at Galatasaray, where he is enjoying himself, but is understood to have a clause in his contract that would allow a transfer in January.

17:39Tom VictorDo Wolves still need to spend?
Vitor Pereira hasn't had long to look at his new Wolves charges, but Sunday's win at Leicester might leave him feeling there isn't as much surgery needed as initially feared.
The former Al-Shabab boss took charge for the first time after replacing Gary O'Neil, and oversaw a 3-0 win at the King Power Stadium.
All three goals came before half-time, with Goncalo Guedes, Rodrigo Gomes and Matheus Cunha on target.
Wolves now sit just two points from safety, with Leicester directly above them in 17th, and Foxes boss Ruud van Nistelrooy might now be looking towards the January transfer window himself.
