Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna believes it is time for Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool.
The 26-year-old is out of contract at Anfield in the summer and continues to be the topic of interest for Real Madrid.
The England international endured a tough runout against Manchester City on Sunday after facing winger Jeremy Doku.
The Belgian managed to get the better of Alexander-Arnold but failed to capitalise on his success down the right.
Sagna has claimed that following the difficult afternoon at the Etihad Stadium, it could be the right moment for him to leave Merseyside - predicting that the Liverpool defender can adapt to Spanish football.

"Not to criticise Trent Alexander-Arnold's performance but defending against Doku is not an easy task on a good day – and Sunday was a good day for Doku.

"Being as open as Liverpool is not efficient – they give too much space to the wingers, and Trent needs to adapt.
He is more efficient going forward than defending – maybe it’s time to move on and move to a league where he’s not going to face players like that.
"I see him adapting well to Spanish football – and with all due respect to him, I think it’s time for him to move on."
Alexander-Arnold is one of three ongoing contract situations at Liverpool with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah facing a summer exit.
