Unai Emery offered a brief injury update on his squad after their 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town at the weekend.
Liverpool will face Aston Villa at Villa Park on Wednesday in what promises to be a high-stakes Premier League encounter for both sides.
The Reds come into this match following a narrow 2-1 victory over Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.
Goals from Luis Díaz and Mohamed Salah secured the win, but Liverpool showed signs of vulnerability after conceding late in the game.
Cody Gakpo, who missed the Wolves match due to a knoc sustained during the Merseyside derby, has been ruled out of the Villa clash.
His absence means Luis Díaz is likely to continue on the left flank, with Diogo Jota or Darwin Núñez leading the attack.
Additionally, Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton remain unavailable, while Curtis Jones is suspended.
But the Villains are dealing with injuries of their own ahead of the tie.
Aston Villa injury update
Emery was quizzed on the availability of both Leon Bailey and Boubacar Kamara after the game on Saturday.
Bailey was absent from the matchday squad altogether while Kamara was forced off the pitch with just 16 minutes on the clock.
On Kamara, the Villa boss said: “I don’t know now but I think it is not a lot.”
“Leon had a small pain and I think it is not a very important injury?
Hopefully he will be ready for the next matches.”
The Birmingham club already see their squad stretched thin with the likes of Pau Torres, Tyrone Mings, Matty Cash, Amadou Onana, and Ross Barkley all carrying issues – although Mings made his return coming on for the inured Kamara at the weekend.
Meanwhile for the Reds, it has already been reported that Cody Gakpo is not going to be fit in time for Wednesday night.
