Liverpool have had their fair share of refereeing decisions go against them this season.
Despite a pervading view from certain portions of opposition fanbases, the Reds have been on the end of some shockers throughout the campaign.
Arguably, one of those is what led to Arne Slot watching Liverpool’s game against Newcastle on Wednesday evening from the stands.
Slot learnt earlier during the day that he and assistant Sipke Hulshoff would serve a two-game touchline ban for their behaviour at the end of the recent Merseyside Derby.
As a result, the Liverpool head coach was forced to take in Wednesday’s clash with Newcastle from the Anfield stands.
Nevertheless, that did not stop Slot being spotted venting his frustration at another strange decision that went against his team on the night.

Liverpool started the clash with Newcastle excellently, Dominik Szoboszlai putting them ahead after just 11 minutes.
Szoboszlai’s goal was well taken, but there’s an argument that the Reds should’ve been given the chance to go ahead earlier in the game.

With just minutes on the clock, Mohamed Salah went down in the box after a challenge from Lewis Hall.
The referee blew his whistle, with many inside Anfield now doubt expected a penalty to be awarded.
Instead, bizarrely, the free-kick went against Salah.

The replays shown on TNT Sports did nothing to clear things up, with Hall tripping before clumsily bringing Salah down.
Watching on from the stands, Slot was seen with his arms outstretched as he queried what on earth he’d just watched.
There was a coming together between Salah and Hall just prior to the Newcastle defender tripping the forward.
However, it was very much that, a coming together.
There was no foul from Salah, with Hall even pushing the Egyptian in the face.
As the left-back then lost his balance, he clearly takes out the Liverpool man in the process.
It’s accidental, but it should be a penalty.
To give a foul against Salah is an absolutely bizarre call from the referee.
Given his position on the sidelines, Slot will have no chance to query what he’d seen.
