Virgil van Dijk's own limited company has blossomed on the back of his household success in Merseyside with their net assets now worth a staggering amount, reports claim.

The Dutch defender faces an uncertain future at Anfield as his contract runs out this summer along with fellow Liverpool stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah.

Van Dijk had said earlier this month that he did not know whether he would be a Liverpool player next season.

Should Arne Slot's side go on to win the Premier League title this season, Van Dijk will become the first Dutchman to captain a team to the honour in England.

That, combined with widespread reports it is his preference to stay at the club, points to a resolution being found before the end of the campaign.

According to The Times, VVD Promotions Ltd, which he established in 2017 prior to his move to Liverpool, now has net assets worth a little over £10.4m.

Even more so when he was awarded the captains armband in the summer of 2023 following the departure of Jordan Henderson.

Van Dijk's current Liverpool salary stands at £220,000-per-week, or £11.4m a year, according to Capology.

Thanks to his company's financial success and significant wages at Liverpool, it can be argued the riches of Saudi Arabia may be less appealing to the defender.

French outlet L'Equipe reported earlier this month that Al-Hilal had made a staggering offer to the Liverpool star exceeding £16m per year.

Van Dijk last addressed his future following their Champions League exit against Paris Saint-Germain.

“Listen, there are ten games to go, and that is my full focus." he told reporters at the time.
