Virgil van Dijk says the performances of Liverpool's substitutes were just as important as the remarkable display from goalkeeper Alisson Becker in the 1-0 Champions League victory at Paris Saint-Germain.

Van Dijk insists that the tie is far from over, but hailed the impact of Elliott and the other three Reds substitutes brought on by manager Arne Slot.
"It is never easy to play away from home in the Champions League, especially against a side with as much quality and intensity as PSG has," Van Dijk writes in his programme notes for Saturday's Premier League clash with Southampton.
