Virgil van Dijk says the Liverpool fans can “sing whatever they want” - but no-one in the Reds dressing room thinks they have won the title.

“They can sing whatever they want,” said the Liverpool captain.

“I didn’t know at the time that was about the Arsenal result, we just focus on our game.

It doesn’t matter what Arsenal do, but obviously I totally understand the fans will react to it.”

Van Dijk says none of the players will celebrate until the title is mathematically secure and their focus is on their next game against Paris St Germain in the Champions League.

“I keep reminding players, and also the outside world, that there is no time and space for complacency.

“I think we showed a very good reaction, a great game offensively, defensively and a clean sheet again.
