Former Everton and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has criticised Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk for his "lazy" defending.
The Reds were knocked out of the Champions League on penalties after Paris Saint-Germain won the game on the night, levelling the tie on aggregate.
Arne Slot's side saw two penalties saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma as their hopes of a treble were ended.
Van Dijk came under fire from Rooney for his role in the Frenchman's decisive goal.

He said: "This goal from Liverpool’s point of view is wrong in so many different ways.
"They are trying to press the ball – Van Dijk gets lazy.
If you watch Van Dijk, he leaves a massive gap [to Dembélé].
If you switch off for one second at this level you get punished."

Speaking after the defeat, where Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones missed spot-kicks, Van Dijk said: "We were pretty good and you want to go as far as possible, but we knew when we drew Paris that it was going to be very difficult.
"In Paris, we struggled but we won.
Today we saw a very good Liverpool side, but we're out of the competition."
Liverpool face a short turnaround as they face Newcastle United at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final.
