Former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson could make another transfer switch before the Monday deadline with AS Monaco courting his services.
But he has come under fire in the Netherlands for entertaining such a move.
Henderson played for Ajax in the Europa League on Thursday but didn't wear the captain's armband.
And while manager Francesco Farioli would be well within his rights to take that away — and indeed not play Henderson at all given the transfer interest in the player — Dutch legend Wesley Sneijder has slammed the Ajax number six for his actions.
"Don’t be so difficult," he said live on Ziggo Sport.
It could have been much calmer if he had just worn the armband."
If Henderson does seal a move to Monaco, he could end up facing Liverpool in the Champions League this season
Liverpool could face one of three French sides, also including Brest and PSG, while it could also be paired with Portuguese outfit Benfica.
Liverpool.com says: Henderson is loved at Ajax and he has made a big positive difference with the Eredivisie giant
Monaco would give him a return to the Champions League but Ajax is on track to qualify next season as things stand.
