Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was not in vacation mode for very long.

He's already back at work as Head of Global Soccer with Red Bull, and now he's being linked with the Real Madrid role.

A brief recharging period over the summer saw Klopp attend a Taylor Swift concert at Anfield and catch some of the Paralympics.



Any club would surely want to get him, Real Madrid included — so the question is whether Klopp is missing it yet.

Pep Guardiola expressed certainty that Klopp would be back some day.

But Klopp himself has seemed far less sure when discussing his future plans.

"I will not manage a club or a country at least for a year, that’s not possible, I cannot do that and I don’t want to," Klopp said when he announced his departure.

The self-imposed one-year period will soon be up, and Real Madrid is not an English club.

Klopp did lose to Real Madrid in two Champions League finals, so there is still a degree of animosity there from Liverpool's perspective.
