Several Liverpool stars have shone during Arne Slot’s debut campaign, none more so than Mohamed Salah.
Currently sat on a staggering 54 goal contributions, Salah has broken countless records so far this campaign.
The Egyptian’s brilliance is made even more impressive by the fact that there were initial doubts about his talent after joining from AS Roma in 2017.
Having failed to impress at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho, Salah arrived back in the Premier League looking to prove a point – something that was recognised by his fellow Liverpool teammates at the time.

Following his summer arrival from Serie A, Salah would light up the Premier League during his debut campaign going on to break the goalscoring record with 32 goals.
The first of those goals would come on his debut against Watford, with Salah impressing Jordan Henderson after playing alongside the midfielder for the first time.
Speaking to Soccer AM in 2018, the former right-back said:

“Yeh I mean as soon as he (Salah) came in for pre-season and we were doing the running, I think he ran the longest.
There was a little bleep test going on, whilst everyone came off he was still running and still going.
“But I wasn’t expecting him to score that many goals as a winger, but he is doing well, working hard and let’s hope he can keep doing what he is doing at the moment.
“We just have to keep going and play the best football we can to get as many points.
