Since their dramatic 2-2 Merseyside Derby draw at home on February 12, the Toffees have won just one game and drawn their last four fixtures.
But the Blues at least look safe now from the threat of relegation.
The last ever Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park provided plenty of thrills, including a 98th minute James Tarkowski equaliser, two players sent off at the death, and even a red card for Slot.
Five other Premier League midweek fixtures will also commence that evening, though they will all be played at the slightly earlier time of 7.45pm.
Those fixtures include Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United and Manchester City vs Leicester City.
The reason behind the midweek clashes is that last weekend belonged to the FA Cup, with the four quarter-final ties having taken place across Saturday and Sunday.
This season is the first of a six-year agreement between the Premier League and FA Cup that sees the domestic cup competition given exclusive calendar windows for rounds four (last 32) and five (last 16), as well as the quarter-finals.
It will be shown live on both the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
If you are a Sky Sports subscriber, you can watch the football directly from the Sky Sports app.
