Liverpool are on course to win the Premier League title with Arne Slot set to make history in his first year in charge with the Reds.
The Dutch coach has proven himself to be the dream successor to Jurgen Klopp’s throne at Anfield with Slot evolving Liverpool into one of the best teams in the world and a side that has only suffered four defeats in all competitions.
With Luis Enrique lauding Liverpool as the best team in Europe ahead of PSG’s UEFA Champions League tie with the Reds next week, the tweaks Slot has made to the Reds have been nothing short of impressive in the window of time the former Feyenoord coach has been in England.
And former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has now shared what has impressed him most about Slot since being appointed by Liverpool as Klopp’s successor.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Sherwood shared how Slot has taken ‘simple’ steps to help Liverpool improve post-Klopp, with the new Anfield boss taking a number of players to new heights who struggled under the German manager.
Rafa Benitez recently lauded Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister with the midfield pair the two big winners from Slot’s reign as Liverpool manager, and Sherwood has been impressed with what the former AZ Alkmaar man has done since making the move to the Premier League.
Sherwood said: “The best thing he’s done is not done a lot, he’s kept it pretty simple, if it’s not broken, why fix it?

“Szoboszlai has been absolutely magnificent, as has Mac Allister in the midfield.
He’s got so many options off the bench, and he’s finding a way of keeping everyone happy, which you can genuinely do as a manager when you win every football match.”
With Jamie Carragher backing Liverpool to win the Premier League already next season, expectations are high for what the Reds can achieve in Slot’s second year with the Merseyside giants after such a successful debut campaign.
And for Liverpool fans, retaining the title will be an exceptional achievement for Slot given that no Anfield coach has managed such a feat in the Premier League era, something that the Dutchman will want to pull off in 2026.
Indeed, winning the FA Cup and Champions League will also be top of Slot’s to-do list for next season, and the Liverpool manager will be eager to solidify his growing legacy at Anfield with a second year to remember.
