Alisson Becker reached new heights as a modern-day Liverpool legend after producing a world-class performance against PSG.
The Brazilian international played like a man possessed in the French capital this week as Alisson produced an incredible nine saves to keep a clean sheet for Liverpool as the Reds managed to sneak an unlikely win against PSG.

1 might never experience a game as good as the one he enjoyed this week against PSG, such was the 32-year-old’s quality on the night in a massive UEFA Champions League game.
Yet for L’Equipe, the French sports daily did not think that Alisson did enough to warrant a coveted 10/10 rating, an accolade that’s only been awarded to a handful of players in the last 40 years.

As per L’Equipe’s official website, Alisson’s ‘masterclass’ of a performance was only enough to and the Liverpool star a 9/10 rating, with the Brazilian superstar being awarded the highest score out of any player on the night.
With no Liverpool players yet to receive a coveted 10/10 rating from L’Equipe, this barren run might extend for a few more decades, given just how good Alisson’s performance was against PSG in the French capital.
Indeed, Liverpool target Ademola Lookman is the most recent recipient of a L’Equipe 10/10 after the Atalanta attacker’s hat-trick performance for the Seire A side in the UEFA Europa League final last season.

Yet the wait goes on for Liverpool to see one of their own handed a 10/10 rating, and for Alisson, the former AS Roma star will be wondering what more he needed to do to be awarded one of the highest honours in sports media.

L’Equipe might have dropped the ball slightly on Alisson’s performance against PSG, but that’s not say that the Liverpool no.
1 was short of praise from some of the biggest and best names in football.

With Brest manager Eric Roy comparing Alisson to Jesus Christ, heavens knows how the 32-year-old did not win a 10/10 rating from L’Equipe, who seem to be the only publication to not be aware of just how good the goalkeeper was on the night.
