Liverpool are still licking their wounds after suffering a difficult week heading into the international break.
Things could hardly have gone worse for the Reds over the past 10 days or so, with a painful Champions League exit to PSG followed up with defeat in the Carabao Cup final.
Another concern has been injury news, with Trent Alexander-Arnold picking up a problem against PSG.
Alexander-Arnold joins Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley on the Liverpool treatment table heading into the crucial last stretch of the campaign.
On the whole, the Liverpool squad has stayed relatively fresh and injury-free this term, with Arne Slot avoiding many major issues with key players.
However, that could now have changed ahead of the run-in.
As revealed on Wednesday evening, Ryan Gravenberch has a problem and has left the Netherlands camp.

Slot’s use of Gravenberch has been one of the major talking points for Liverpool fans over the past few months.
Given how often the 22-year-old had been starting matches, it felt like a matter of time before he broke down.
Unfortunately, as per the official Netherlands team account on X, that has now happened.

“Ryan Gravenberch has left the Oranje’s training camp this evening,” they posted.
“The midfielder is still suffering from an injury sustained over the weekend that prevents him from playing in the matches against Spain.”

Gravenberch did appear to take part in training after arriving with his countrymen, which may be a crumb of comfort, but Liverpool can hardly afford to lose him now.
Further updates are likely to come once the midfielder arrives back on Merseyside.
But for now, we’ll just have to cross fingers and hope it’s nothing serious.
In some ways it is amazing that Gravenberch lasted as long as he has throughout this season.
The former Ajax prospect has started every single Premier League game for Liverpool after making just 12 starts in the league last year.
His workload has gone through the roof.
After the Netherlands’ announcement on Thursday, Liverpool weighed in with a statement on the official club website which proclaimed that Gravenberch will be assessed once he returns home.
With Liverpool not in action for almost two weeks, there will be hope that the No.38 can be back and available for the Merseyside Derby on April 2nd.
Given everything, if the problem isn’t a serious one, then the break from playing may even do Gravenberch – and Liverpool – some good.
