Liverpool could be crowned Premier League champions as early as next weekend after its victory over West Ham at Anfield.

The Reds led through Luis Diaz but looked to be set to drop points when Andy Robertson turned into his own net.

But skipper Virgil van Dijk stepped forward to head in a late winner as Liverpool took advantage of Arsenal dropping points at home to Brentford on Saturday.

It means Liverpool needs just six more points to be confirmed as the 2024/25 Premier League champions.

But in the second period, boosted by the introductions of Saka and Odegaard, the Gunners carried more of a threat.

Thomas Partey netted the opener just after the hour mark when he capitalized on some slack Brentford defending and ended a quick Arsenal counter with smart finish at the near post.
