Thousands of jubilant supporters line The Strand in celebration as Liverpool FC players parade the Champions League Trophy in 2019(Image: Mirrorpix)
It may have seemed inevitable for large parts of this season but Liverpool are now officially the Premier League champions.
Goals from Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister, as well as an own-goal, sealed victory after Dominic Solanke's opening goal for Spurs.
With the celebrations already in full flow, and likely to go long into tonight, attention will now be turning to when the club will be parading the Premier League trophy through the streets of Liverpool for hundreds of thousands of jubilant fans to see.
Of course Reds fans were deprived of such a moment in the disrupted 2020 season when Covid-19 rules meant that no parade event could be held to mark Liverpool's historic Premier League trophy.
And this will surely only make this year's celebrations all the more meaningful for supporters across the city.

Liverpool fans can always be relied on to come out in force for a parade.
When the Reds' won the Champions League in 2019 around 750,000 people flooded the streets, creating a remarkable sea of red across the city.
In 2022 there was also an impressive turnout as the team paraded the FA and Carabao cups, despite the heartbreak of losing out on the league and Champions League titles that season.
While Liverpool Council and the football club are yet to confirm any dates or times for this year's parade, the logical thinking would suggest it will be held on Monday May 26.
Liverpool's final league game of the season is against Crystal Palace at Anfield kicking off at 4pm.
In 2019 and 2022 the same parade route was used, covering 13.5km of the city.

Beginning at Allerton Maze in the south of the city, the parade buses then travelled north on Queens Drive towards the Childwall Fiveways roundabout and on to the Rocket flyover.
