Liverpool have just nine games left to play and no team has ever failed to win the Premier League with such a lead at this stage of the season.
In order for Arsenal to pip Liverpool to the title, the Gunners will need to win all of their remaining 10 games and hope the Reds drop points equivalent to five losses.
Liverpool are also due to host Arsenal on May 10, but the title could already be wrapped up before then.
The earliest that Liverpool can be confirmed as champions is April 12 if they win their next two games against Everton and Fulham and Arsenal lose to Chelsea, Fulham and Everton and then drop points against Brentford.
There is also a scenario where Liverpool could be confirmed as champions with a win over Arsenal if that result moves them at least seven points clear with two games to go.
