The Liverpool squad watched Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace together at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday night.

The Reds' Premier League title party remains on ice after the Gunners slumped to disappointment against their London rivals - after twice squandering a lead.

Jean-Philippe Mateta's wondergoal inflicted a 13th draw of the campaign for the Gunners, after taking the lead in the first-half through Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard, who restored their advantage after Eberechi Eze equalised.

However, Mikel Arteta's side couldn't keep hold of their lead once again and were forced to settle for a draw which leaves Liverpool needing to pick up a point against Tottenham Hotspur to end Manchester City's stranglehold at the Premier League summit.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's dramatic winner against Leicester City meant that the permutations inflicted fresh pressure on Arsenal as they had to avoid defeat to ensure the Reds title party was delayed.

The Reds were afforded days off after their important win at the King Power Stadium and they returned to training on Wednesday.

But with their Premier League rivals in action against Palace, due to their FA Cup semi-final against Aston Villa, the players remained at the AXA Training Centre to watch the encounter in North London.

Footage shows a host of players leaving the training ground after the Reds learned what they have to do against Arsenal's city rivals, Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (4pm kick-off).

In the video, the likes of Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate are spotted departing the complex.

Following the win over the Foxes, captain Virgil van Dijk revealed: "To be honest, I expect Arsenal to win at home but yeah, if it doesn't happen then I think it would be nice to be together.

"So however that may look, we will discuss in the next couple of days.

"But if Arsenal just win that game, what they probably expect they will do against a very good Crystal Palace, then we have to do our job at the weekend."

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Arne Slot admitted that he thought Arsenal would escape a setback at the Emirates on Wednesday.

He said: "The only thing the fans want is us winning the league after one league title in 35 years with them not being involved because of COVID, they were involved but not as much as they wanted.

"Any moment it happens, it will be special but looking forward to next week because I assume Arsenal, because they are such a good team, will win in midweek.

"We probably have to do it ourselves and our best chance is next week against Tottenham."
