The BBC has reportedly settled on a presenting team for Match of the Day post-Gary Lineker, with the Daily Mail claiming that the role will be split between three experienced anchors.
Kelly Cates, Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman are reportedly preparing to share presenting responsibilities on the BBC's flagship Premier League highlights programme from next season.
Lineker has been the BBC's highest-paid on-air star for the last seven years, but it was confirmed in November that this season would be his last as the Match of the Day presenter, although he will continue to front the broadcaster's coverage of the 2025-26 FA Cup as well as the 2026 World Cup.
Stepping into his void on Match of the Day will be three presenters who have extensive broadcasting history in Cates, Logan and Chapman.
Kelly Cates
Cates, 49, first joined Sky in 1998 and spent eight years there before leaving in 2006.
She returned in 2016, and has been a regular on Sky Sports subscribers' TV screens in recent years, regularly presenting Premier League matches.
Cates also works for BBC Radio 5 Live.

Mark Chapman
Chapman began his broadcasting career in 1996 and has been the main Match of the Day 2 anchor since 2013
Chapman has presented the BBC's coverage of a number of sports during his career, including soccer, American Football, rugby league and athletics.
