Liverpool could be in the market for a new right-back signing this summer as the club prepares for life after Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The 26-year-old is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in the off-season, bringing an end to his 21-year association with the club.
Alexander-Arnold returned from an ankle injury last weekend, scoring the winning goal against Leicester and celebrating furiously with supporters in the away end, but the situation regarding his future is believed to remain unchanged.
His impending departure will leave Conor Bradley as Liverpool's only other senior right-back, which means the Reds are expected to enter the transfer market for a replacement ahead of the 2025-26 season.

It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool signs a high-profile player such as Jeremie Frimpong as a direct replacement for Alexander-Arnold, or whether it signs a cheaper player to battle it out with Conor Bradley for the right-back spot in Arne Slot's team.
One player who has been linked with a move to Anfield is Brazilian right-back Wesley Franca, who Barcelona is also credited with an interest in.
Franca currently plays for Flamengo in Brazil, and reports in the player's homeland say that Flamengo is looking for a transfer fee of between $34-$40 million for the 21-year-old.
Franca joined Flamengo from Atletico Tubarao in 2021 and has emerged as one of the best young right-backs in Brazil in recent years, making his senior international debut during the recent international break.
While Alexander-Arnold is clearly a unique player, Franca has been praised in the Brazilian press for having similar traits to the England international, with the youngster's passing and crossing among his best traits.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid
Liverpool is among them, while both Manchester clubs are mentioned as possible destinations.
Flamengo sporting director Jose Boto previously admitted that it won’t be easy to keep hold of Franca beyond this summer's transfer window
However, the player will only be sold if Flamengo receives what it deems an acceptable offer
"This [sale] will only happen if the clubs are willing to pay what we think Wesley is worth," Boto said.
Flamengo is reportedly unwilling to let Franca leave before this summer's inaugural revamped Club World Cup, so should Liverpool sign him, the Reds could be waiting a while for him to link up with his new teammates following a post-tournament vacation.
