Liverpool’s 2024 has come to a close after the Reds delivered a thumping win over West Ham to end the year.
A tumultuous 12 months on Merseyside began with Jurgen Klopp announcing his exit and ends with Arne Slot’s team sitting well clear at the top of the Premier League.
There have been real highs along the way, as Liverpool won their ninth League Cup in February.
But there were lows too, with the Reds crashing out of the FA Cup away at rivals Manchester United before Klopp’s eventual exit.
The Liverpool squad has largely stayed the same throughout the calendar year, though, and here are the top 10 appearance makers from the Reds’ 57 matches in 2024.

2024 was a good year for Curtis Jones as he made more steps towards nailing down a place in the Liverpool starting XI.
The Liverpool academy graduate ends the year having made 40 appearances for the senior side.
Although this is nominally a top 10 list, it actually includes 11 players.
Ryan Gravenberch shot up the list under Slot to pull level with Jones on 40 appearances.
Gravenberch played just 16 times under Klopp in 2024, but his ascension to nailed on starter for the new Liverpool head coach has given his numbers an almighty boost.

It’s pleasing to see Joe Gomez make this list after his Liverpool career has generally been blighted by injury.
Gomez stayed fit during Klopp’s final season to play 27 times under the German in 2024.
The 27-year-old has recently reclaimed his starting spot to add another 16 to his tally under Slot.
Sneaking just ahead of Gomez is Dominik Szoboszlai who has outlined his importance to Liverpool with a good amount of game time during his first full 12 months as a Red.
Injuries have disrupted Szoboszlai, but the Hungarian was virtually always on the pitch when fit.
In any other given year, Mohamed Salah would have been much further towards the top of this list for Liverpool.
But injuries over the first few months of 2024 meant he played only 18 times for Klopp.
With Slot taking over Salah has been phenomenal, and has only failed to play a part in one game during 24/25.

Given how Andy Robertson has been struggling recently, it is really no surprise to see him towards the top of Liverpool’s appearance makers.
The 30-year-old has perhaps played a little too much following an injury-affected 2023 and will surely need to see his minutes reduced heading into 2025.
One of five Liverpool players to reach 50 appearances in 2024, Darwin Nunez has at least been available even if he has not been scaling the expected heights.
Rarely injured, Nunez’s half century of appearances shows that both Klopp and Slot have relied on him despite his lack of goal scoring.
Cody Gakpo is a man in form having scored yet another goal against West Ham on Sunday.
The strike capped off a year of real progress for Gakpo who has not always been on the starting teamsheet, but has usually found a way to get onto the pitch.
Gakpo has often been rotating with Luis Diaz on the left of the Liverpool attack under Slot.
And, like the Dutchman and Nunez, Diaz’s 53 appearances shows just how reliable he has been in terms of staying fit.
After a frustrating 2023, it has been brilliant to see the Colombian manage to get out on the pitch more often than not.
