Liverpool head coach Arne Slot will miss the Reds' next two Premier League fixtures after his dismissal following the final whistle against Everton - with assistant John Heitinga set to take charge in his absence.
The Anfield boss was sent off by referee Michael Oliver after remonstrating with the official as his side slumped 2-2 draw in the Merseyside Derby.
It has now been confirmed that the former Feyenoord coach will watch Liverpool's next couple of league clashes from the stands as the the governing body issued its punishment.
After the FA deemed that Slot had "acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behavior", he was handed a two-game touchline ban and a $88,500 (£70,000) fine.
A statement from the FA on the matter read: "An independent Regulatory Commission has sanctioned Everton, Liverpool, Arne Slot and Sipke Hulshoff in relation to the Premier League fixture between the clubs on Wednesday 12 February.
“It was alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players and/or technical area occupants did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way following the final whistle.
“It was alleged that the Liverpool head coach acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards both the match referee and an assistant referee after the match had finished.
The FA said: "It was alleged that the Liverpool assistant head coach acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards a match official, which led to his dismissal.
"It was alleged that the Liverpool assistant head coach acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards a match official, which led to his dismissal
