Arne Slot will still be on the touchline for Liverpool during their clash with Wolves today (2pm) despite his red card in the midweek match against Everton.
The Dutchman was sent off by referee Michael Oliver following full time after a heated 2-2 draw at Goodison Park, which saw tempers flare.
Abdoulaye Doucoure celebrated in front of the Liverpool fans and Curtis Jones subsequently confronted the Everton player.
Both Jones and Doucoure received red cards, followed by Slot for furiously shaking Oliver's hand and berating him.
The Liverpool manager is potentially facing a two-game touchline ban.
But with the FA yet to decide on the punishment while waiting for the referee's official report, Slot remains clear to manage from the sidelines against Wolves at Anfield for the 2pm kick-off.
This isn't Slot's first brush with disciplinary action - having served a suspension last December - and the coach himself admits that managing his emotions during matches is something he needs to work on.
Post-Merseyside derby, Slot said: "The way I was during the game, I wasn't planning to react the way I reacted after the game.
Again the seven or eight minutes extra time, if you just watch them back, so many incidents happened in those seven or eight minutes that, yeah, I got too emotional.
"Instead of going inside and calming down and then talking to the referee, I decided to walk out onto the pitch, which wasn't the smartest thing to do in hindsight.
"We're in a business that's quite emotional.
But this is a part you can't influence and then you get all emotional, like I did during the game.
"I wouldn't say I was calm during the game, but especially in extra time, it was probably just a bit too much to stay calm.
The best thing I could have done was just walk inside, but unfortunately I didn't."
In the heat of the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison, Liverpool initially fell behind when Beto netted an early goal from a set-piece 11 minutes into the match.
Alexis Mac Allister soon restored parity for Liverpool, connecting with Mohamed Salah's cross and sending the ball past a diving Jordan Pickford five minutes later.
Salah put Liverpool ahead 73 minutes into the game, driving the ball into the net following a rebound from Jones.
However, the league leaders' day was spoiled when James Tarkowski secured a hard-earned point for Everton eight minutes into extra time, celebrating after smashing a volley in at the back post.
Liverpool, who have won 17 games and drawn six out of 24 matches in the 2024/25 season, putting them four points ahead of second-place Arsenal, will host Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.
They hope to continue their impressive Premier League form.
On the other hand, Wolves, currently 17th with only five victories and just two points clear of the relegation zone, will be eager to distance themselves from the drop zone in the coming weeks.
