The reason Ajax defender Jorrel Hato was at Anfield on Saturday has been revealed.

Another video showing Hato meeting Liverpool captain and fellow Dutchman Virgil van Dijk also made the rounds on Saturday, suggesting that the 18-year-old could be signing for Liverpool soon.
Hato has emerged as a potential signing for Liverpool in the last few days.
The Reds have reportedly long been admirers of the defender and had initially earmarked him as a target for the summer.
However, with Hato drawing significant attention for his performances and interest from clubs like Arsenal also rising, a recent report from Team Talk claimed that Liverpool are now considering signing him in this transfer window.
However, contrary to speculation, a new report in the Netherlands has revealed that Hato’s presence at Anfield during the game does not indicate Liverpool’s intention to accelerate their pursuit of the talented youngster.
Why Jarrol Hato was spotted at Anfield
According to Dutch publication The Telegraaf (via @EuropeanLad), Hato was at the Liverpool game against Ipswich on Saturday at the invitation of his friend and Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
Per the report, Hato, who is wanted by both Real Madrid and Liverpool have made it clear that he does not want to move this winter.
