Liverpool are in action against Newcastle United this weekend in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium and are hoping to make it back-to-back triumphs in the competition.
The Reds won the trophy last year, under Jurgen Klopp, after an extra-time goal from Virgil van Dijk got them over the line against Chelsea.
This year, Arne Slot is hoping to secure his first piece of silverware as Liverpool boss, while the Magpies are determined to end a trophy drought that has lasted 70 years.
However, Eddie Howe is navigating this tricky test against Liverpool without a handful of key players, including former Everton man Anthony Gordon.
The winger joined Newcastle from the Toffees in January 2023 and he has been an integral figure in the squad ever since.

Gordon isn't involved in the Carabao Cup final because of the red card he received during Newcastle's FA Cup fifth round defeat to Brighton earlier this month.
The 24-year-old was given his marching orders in the 83rd minute for a push at Seagulls defender Jan Paul van Hecke's head and he is now serving a three-game suspension.
He is two matches in having missed their Premier League win over West Ham on Monday night - as well as this weekend's final.
He will also be side-lined for the home clash against Brentford after the international break, but will be available for selection again when they travel away to Leicester City on April 7.

Many expected Newcastle to appeal Gordon's red card in the aftermath of their FA Cup defeat, but it never came as they accepted the red card and suspension.
When explaining the club's decision, their manager Howe said: "It's always a discussion point, and we discussed it with a club with the respective people we needed to discuss it with lawyers etc and we felt there wasn't sufficient grounds to do that.
"There was no intention from Anthony.
