Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk followed the path of his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah after extending his contract till 2027.

Premier League clubs would be hoping that the great Liverpool wall from the Netherlands will leave the club at the end of this season.

However, as he decides to stay, Everton manager David Moyes expressed his feelings on the new contract of Virgil Van Dijk.

In a recent press conference, Everton Manager David Moyes talked about the contract renewal of Virgil Van Dijk, followed by a question from journalists.

Can’t see how that player’s going to work at all.

Can’t see how that’s going to work at all, to be honest.”

However, in the next lines, the former Manchester United and West Ham United manager said about the excellent career of Van Dijk.

He added,

“He’s been a terrific player for Celtic and he’s certainly been a terrific player for Liverpool.”

Virgil Van Dijk met Everton 14 times in his Liverpool career.

After signing for Liverpool, the Dutch international said,

“It’s a proud feeling, it’s a feeling of joy.
