Jurgen Klopp is not expected to be at Anfield this weekend — but he does expect to return to the city he called home for nine years to take part in the title celebrations at some point.
Virtually since the start of this season, fans have been wondering when Klopp will return to Merseyside, but he has held off so far, rejecting invites — from Arne Slot, no less — to attend games earlier this year.
Klopp spent several months away from the game between leaving Liverpool at the end of last season and taking up a role with Red Bull as its Global Head of Soccer in January.

In March, Klopp was asked about his plans to return to Liverpool and he said he would not go back until the title was secured.
"Yes, the plan is [to be in Liverpool to celebrate the title] but not on the bus, I will be there with the people I saw on the bus (the fans)," Klopp explained.
"That's the idea to be honest, but we will see.
So I go there when it's decided."
Liverpool's first home game after this weekend's game against Spurs is against Arsenal on May 11, so he could well be in attendance for that clash, or even the final game of the season against Crystal Palace on May 24, which he has reportedly been invited to — although given the type of person Klopp is, he might not want to take any of the spotlight away from Slot and his players as they get to hoist the trophy in front of a packed Anfield.
