Liverpool have the chance to win their second-ever Premier League title this afternoon against Tottenham.
One point is required from the Reds at Anfield later today if they’re to confirm their status as English champions, with the odds heavily in Liverpool’s favour to get a result against Tottenham, who currently sit 16th in the standings.
With Gary Neville predicting Liverpool to run riot against Tottenham, today could be a day that every Red supporter remembers for the rest of their lives, with big things expected from the pending Premier League champions.
And former Tottenham captain Michael Dawson has now given his verdict on if Spurs can get a shock result against Liverpool this afternoon.

Speaking on Soccer Saturday, the former England defender didn’t give the north London side ‘much hope’ that they can get a result today against Liverpool, with Dawson lauding the Merseyside giants as the best team in the Premier League by some distance.
With Mark Lawrenson praising Slot’s work on the Liverpool squad, the Dutch coach has been a dream fit for the Reds this season since succeeding Jurgen Klopp, with few supporters predicting at the start of the campaign that they could win the Premier League title in April.

And for Dawson, the former Tottenham skipper isn’t confident that Spurs can stop Liverpool’s Premier League title party, with the north London side in dreadful league form this year despite reaching the UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
Dawson said: “I don’t give them much hope, it’s a credit to Liverpool who will turn up and be ready to win that Premier League title, which has been inevitable over the last few months, they’ve been the best team in the Premier League.”
Many would argue that this has been the weakest Premier League season in some time, with Liverpool set to win the title before May has even started without really being contested throughout the year for top spot.
And with Tottenham as poor as they are in the league this season, today should be as straightforward as it comes for Liverpool, with Ange Postecoglou to be fully focused on Thursday’s Europa League tie with the Premier League a lost cause at this point.
Indeed, Liverpool know that today is their day, and the squad will want to put on an immaculate show for their supporters, who have been waiting to celebrate a title at Anfield since Covid-19 robbed them of the chance five years ago.
