Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League over the past two seasons, with his impressive displays leading to widespread transfer speculation.

Arne Slot already spoke in glowing terms of the 25-year-old before Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Wolves at Anfield earlier this year.

Despite his on-field brilliance, Cunha’s season has not been without controversy.

He has faced two suspensions this year due to disciplinary issues, including a four-game ban following a red card against Bournemouth in March.

However, these incidents have not deterred interest from elite clubs.

Cunha signed a new contract with Wolves earlier this year that runs until 2029.

The deal includes a £62.5 million release clause applicable to Champions League-qualified clubs—a figure that seems unlikely to dissuade potential suitors given his form and potential.

Before their win over West Ham on Tuesday night, Wolves manager Vitor Pereria admitted that he does not know what will happen in the future regarding his star man:
