It has been a phenomenal first season in charge for new Liverpool manager Arne Slot and he has adjusted to life in the Premier League incredibly well, as shown by the results that he has picked up so far.
With the January transfer window now closed, we patiently wait for our first knockout Champions League clash and we continue to sit in top spot with a clear seven point lead over nearest chasers Arsenal. Fans with a bet 365 bonus code might feel confident in our chances of securing the title, especially with the strong lead we've built at the top of the table.
.
As eyes slowly turn to the summer and what we hope will be a consolidation of our success, we are now being linked with a potentially huge move for Bundesliga starlet Jamie Gittens.
The 20 year old attacker has already picked up eleven England Under 21 caps, and having spent his youth days with Reading, Chelsea and Manchester City, he was one of a few youngsters who looked abroad to aid their development and find a first team pathway and in 2020 he headed to German side Borussia Dortmund.
After an injury hit start he began showcasing his talent in the 2021/22 campaign and he is now very much a regular on their left hand side, and has begun racking up more starting appearances than substitute showings
He has already featured 33 times for them this year (5 sub showings), with a return of 11 goals.
Naturally, his form has seen the speculation rumour mill link him with a return to the English game and a number of top flight clubs are reportedly tracking his progress and we have been named as one of the top three alongside Arsenal and Chelsea, but German outlet BILD are saying that Dortmund would only consider doing a deal for the winger at around the £83 million mark.
The youngster is under contract until 2028, but a few German outlets are claiming that he is, at the very least, interesting in exploring his options come the summer even if Dortmund are in absolutely no rush to let him go just yet.
With his club on record about their transfer standpoint, the player himself has spoken about how difficult a decision it was to move at his age but he was very appreciative of what Dortmund had done for him, and he also at no point sounded like he was angling for a move - but of course, firm transfer offers can always change that.
With plenty of talk continuing about Mohamed Salah and his future, and some wider discussions about our attack full stop despite being the league's highest scorers, you can certainly see why a talent like Gittens would be linked, particularly with an eye to the future but surely we would want to see more consistency from him before talking those sorts of transfers fees.
